Montecastello sits in it’s own elevated position above the medieval village of Tavernelle and surrounded by it’s 6 acres of mature woodland of sweet chestnut and oak trees. It is this natural backdrop that forms most of the garden space.
Wild flowers grow in profusion throughout Spring and early Summer whilst formal lawn areas to the castello and cottage are borded by a host lavender and Rosemary bushes Jashmin adorns walled areas and around the elevated decking rails giving off a heady fragrance to the passer-by.
The property has many terracotta pots growing a wide variety of Summer flowering plants such as Geranium, Petunias etc. alongside vegetables and herbs.
